Pour-over method: The perfect coffee with the Origami Dripper

Drip by drip to the perfect cup of filter coffee: No pour-over hand filter method combines functionality, design, and taste quite like origami. Even filter coffee world champions like Carlos Medina and Jia Ning Du-san deliberately choose origami drippers in competitions to get the most out of their coffee. So that you too can enjoy the perfect cup of filter coffee, all you need, apart from the hand filter and holder, is a collecting container, a kettle, and, of course, your favorite coffee. We recommend grinding the beans with a coffee grinder just before brewing so they retain their full aroma. Equip your origami dripper with the appropriate paper filter and fill it with your preferred amount of coffee grounds. Now pour hot water into the dripper. The intensity of the coffee will vary depending on how quickly or slowly you add the water. If you prefer it a little stronger, take a little longer when pouring so that the full flavor of the coffee is extracted. Once the water has run through, remove the dripper and you can immediately enjoy a delicious cup of coffee. Because the Origami hand filters are particularly flexible, you can experiment with grind size, different filters, and coffee and water quantities until you find the perfect brewing method for you. Try these innovative Origami products now!

Questions & Answers

What is an origami dripper?

Origami Drippers are special handheld filters made in Japan that owe their name to the Japanese art of paper folding. Their vertical ridges and vibrant colors are reminiscent of folded origami paper. These folds not only look beautiful but also create space between the dripper and the filter, allowing hot water to flow more easily. You can find Origami Drippers in various sizes and colors in our online shop.

Where does the origami hand filter come from?

The Origami filters and accessories come from Japan, where they are manufactured with the utmost precision and craftsmanship in a small factory in the Toki region. Furthermore, most of the hand filters are made from high-quality Mino porcelain, which has a 400-year history.

Which filters are suitable for the Origami Dripper?

Ideally, you should use the Origami Drippers with the specially developed Origami paper filters. These are available in sizes 2 (for the Origami Dripper S) and 4 (for the Origami Dripper M). Alternatively, the CAFEC filters in Cups 2 and 4 or the Kalita Wave filter paper also fit.
