To really get the most flavor out of your beans, not only the type of coffee but also the grind and freshness of the grounds are important. A coffee grinder is essential for this, as it allows you to grind the beans shortly before brewing, preserving the delicate aromas. The Varia VS3 makes this task a pleasure, as it allows you to flexibly adjust the grind to within 10 micrometers (0.01 mm). This allows you to grind the perfect ground for every type of coffee. For portafilter machines and fully automatic coffee machines, we recommend choosing a particularly fine grind so the aromas can develop fully. For hand filters, Aeropress, and Chemex, a medium to coarse grind is optimal. If you have a French press, however, the grounds can be quite coarse.
