This coffee preparation is almost historical: As early as 1939, the German engineer Peter Schlumbohm, who had emigrated, developed the Chemex carafes. The decanter looks super stylish and can be admired in New York's Museum of Modern Art (MoMa).

With the Chemex coffee carafe you can prepare particularly clear coffee. The carafe is made from heat resistant glass and features a matching glass handle rather than the traditional wooden collar. It is suitable for preparing six cups and can easily be cleaned in the dishwasher.
