Ryo John Ito came up with the idea of ​​developing his own hand filter when he met a barista in Hong Kong who had prepared a good coffee with a hand filter using the pour-over method. Shortly thereafter, he bought himself a hand filter, but found that he couldn't use it to make coffee as good as the barista. After trying a few recipes, after the so-called blooming, he simply poured water into the center of the filter. When he tasted the coffee, he realized it was the best coffee he had tasted. This is how the idea for the SIMPLIFY the Brewer was born.

SIMPLIFY the Brewer was designed based on the airflow calculation with the largest possible hole of 40mm diameter. The idea is that after inserting the filter and adding coffee powder, all you have to do is pour water in the middle and you can enjoy freshly brewed coffee after 60 seconds. The filter is made of crystal-clear TROGAMID® CX plastic, which is characterized by durability and resilience as well as a perfect brewing temperature that stabilizes the brewing process. These factors, as well as minimizing the contact between the filter and the filter paper, result in a high extraction time and the coffee becomes strong enough.
