You can easily select all the important brewing parameters yourself according to your taste. There are two different brewing methods for the AeroPress, the "classic" variant and the invert method.

We recommend that you freshly grind your coffee beans before preparation. Choose a medium to fine grind. With the classic brewing method, the full-immersion method, you fill the desired amount of coffee into the brewing cylinder after you have placed the bottom of the filter on your mug. Then you pour the water over it and stir the coffee-water mixture. Then you put the piston on the brewing cylinder and slowly press it down until there is no more air in the cylinder. The inverted method works in reverse, i.e. the structure of the AeroPress is the other way around. So you set up your coffee maker with the piston pointing down and fill the brewing cylinder with water and coffee, which is now pointing upwards. Then just place the filter holder with filter on the cylinder, turn it around and push the piston down. Whether there are differences in taste between the two brewing methods is probably a matter of taste. Try both brewing methods.
