FAQs
What are the distinguishing features of the Kinu hand coffee grinders?
The Kinu models are characterized by their high-quality workmanship and their modern, timeless design. The M47 Phoenix is equipped with high-precision axis geometry, so no adjustment is required. The Classic and Simplicity models, on the other hand, feature a unique all-metal Morse taper construction that automatically centers the burrs. The Kinu hand coffee grinders are also impressive when it comes to handling, thanks to the practical thumb stopper on the Classic and Simplicity and the silicone handle on the Phoenix. The Black Fusion treated steel grinding discs ensure the best grinding results on the Kinu Grinders.
For which preparation methods are the Kinu hand coffee grinders suitable?
With the Kinu grinders you can grind your coffee or espresso beans for the preparation of espresso and pour over to French press. The degree of grinding can be individually adjusted on the models, so that you can then process your ground coffee in the portafilter or espresso maker as well as in the French press or with Pour Over. For optimal handling when grinding, the Kinu hand coffee grinders are equipped with a practical silicone thumb stopper or a non-slip silicone handle.
What does the name Kinu stand for?
The German company Graef GmbH decided to launch its own hand mills under the Kinu brand on its 25th anniversary. The name was not chosen by chance, because "Kinu" means "mill" in Swahili. The handmills of Kinu were named for the diameter of their grinding wheels.
