In 2016, the company launched its first line of grinders under the Kinu brand. The three models, called the M68, M47 and M38, were named after the diameters of their burrs. All three models were single-dose grinders with conical steel grinders. The grinders were sourced from an Italian company and modified at Kinu for use in a unique orientation system.

After a fire at one of the company's factories in Romania at the end of 2018, the company's production capacity was severely limited and the factory had to be rebuilt. Nevertheless, in June 2019, just under six months after the fire, Kinu released an extension of the M47 series, the M47 Phoenix. With the M47 mill series, Kinu has launched professional hand mills for everyday use. It consists of the three models M47 Classic, M47 Phoenix and M47 Simplicity.

The Kinu M47 Classic was released first in 2016. The Classic is the most expensive model in the series because no plastic was used in the grinder. This was followed in 2019 by the M47 Phoenix and the M47 Simplicity. The Simplicity is an intermediate model between the Classic and the Phoenix.

All M47 models are made of high-quality stainless steel and are equipped with 47 mm Black-Fusion-treated steel grinding discs.
